About Bizmeed - It's Not Personal, It's Business

The idea behind Bizmeed is to create a level playing field for small businesses on the internet. When Tiercom starting trading in 2000 securing key positions for small businesses was a relatively easy exercise. Seven years on, the situation has completely changed. We often have to turn away businesses with limited funds to spend on search engine marketing because there would be very little chance of success. It goes without saying that small businesses with modest budgets cannot compete for prime search engine positions, pay per click costs are going through the roof (over £20 per click in some sectors) and the small businesses that do try to venture into search engine marketing are often ripped off by unscrupulous SEO companies.

In order for a site to rank highly within the search engines, it must be “trusted”. However, creating trust is timely, costly exercise – in competitive sectors expect to have spent over £40,000! Well beyond the reach of many small businesses.

The concept of Bizmeed is simple. Create a vibrant on-line community where members have easy access to a range of services. Additionally, create “trusted business portal” with individual Promo pages for each member. Each PromoPage will be optimised by senior search engine optimisers and submitted to all the main search engines – more like an on-line directory (and we all know the search engine like directories). We have tried and test formulas which we know work. In fact, we own two very popular directories so we have evidence that it works.
